Copilot in Action – Does it replace web search ?

In the last few months, I have been using with Copilot to help with writing code in Notebooks. And here are some of my findings:

  • Copilot is good with basic code
  • Result is not consistent. I got different answers to the same question… some times a better answer and sometimes not
  • Since it is part of Fabric, it is good with maintaining context. Makes it easy to work with Lakehouse
  • Magic commands makes interacting with Copilot easier and also document the interaction
  • Copilot is available only with P1 or F64 or higher SKUs – this is not ideal

Does Copilot replace the need to search the web for solutions? Well the answer is NO. At least not at this time.
