SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT-BI) for Visual Studio 2013 are back and available for download

SSDT-BI were down for almost a month after the release of the SQL Server 2014 causing a lot of frustration to the end users who were trying to develop BI solutions using Visual Studio 2013. No point of getting into the reasons why, let’s just take a deep breath and download the latest version here
before something else breaks and the link is taken offline again…

You are not required to have the Visual Studio 2013 installed for this download to work as it will install all the required components necessary to be able to create Visual Studio 2013 BI projects.

  1. I have already install sql server 2014 and now i am installing SSDTBI_x86_ENU (sql server data tools for visual studio 2013) But while installting it is asking to install new instance or add feature to pre installed sql server….What should i do to install SSIS,SSRS,and SSAS…..Please suggest….

  2. I installed SQL server 2014 client tools (SSMS, ODBC, etc). then I installed SSDT-BI for VS 2013 but already had other versions of VS like 2008, 2005, etc. I didn’t have VS 2013 but this method doesn’t work as I don’t have the file-> new project option within VS 2013 shell. I don’t want to install full version of vs 2013 just to work on SSIS, SSAS, SSRS projects. Why am I missing file -> new project option?
