Power BI Smart Narrative Visual Review – Is It Ready for Primetime???

Lots of good announcements for Power BI happened this week. One piece of technology I was looking forward to was Smart Narratives visual. You will have to download the latest version of Power BI desktop and then go to Options and enable it there. After that you can add a Smart Narrative visual by either clicking on a chart and selecting “Summarize” options or simply by adding a Smart Narrative visual Visuals Panel.

You can customize the output of the visual somewhat, but it is still a little clunky as it is still a preview feature.

You can find more details as well as my analysis of the autogenerated insights in this video.
