It is very unfortunate that at the time when there is such a flood of good and exciting news coming out from the Power BI dev team my workload made it almost impossible to post on this site. However, a recent update from the Power BI support site made me literally drop everything and write this.
I am talking about this particular feature request:
For those who are too lazy to click on the link, the short synopsis is that the long awaited connectivity to SAP BW has now entered the PLANNED stage.
It is depressing to see how ridiculously underserved SAP customers are in terms BI capabilities even after they have spent millions of dollars implementing Hana, Business Objects or Lumira. Hopefully, their lives are about to get much easier soon.
