I do not know if I should be jumping up and down or gently sobbing right now… The Calculation Groups are finally available in Power BI Desktop!!! Unfortunately, there is an issue with Line Charts that will prevent me from using this feature until the bug gets fixed.
However, this is a major step in the right direction as we are finally given an opportunity to dramatically reduce the number of measures in our models.
I go over how calculation groups can now be authored in Power BI Desktop (well, Tabular Editor actually, but that is a minor detail) and talk about the big formatting issue that unfortunately affects the Line chart.
