Note: You need to have Admin rights to Enable Power BI Integration

  • Select Admin Center
  • Select the environment you want to enable
  • Select Database from the top menu
  • Select Enable

Now we have enabled Power BI Integration, let’s connect to it using Power BI Desktop

  • Open Power BI Desktop
  • From the ribbon, select GetData
  • In the GetData dialog, select Online Services from the left panel

3

  • Select PowerApps Common Data Service from the right panel
  • Select Connect
  • Select the Environment from the drop down and click OK
  • Navigator dialog opens. Expand the left panel and select the subject area you want to connect to
  • Click OK

Notice in the Fields section you have the list of tables related to the subject area you selected

Once you expand a table notice there are sub folders as well. My guess is behind the scenes this is a tabular model

Have fun exploring!!!
