Here is how to get PowerApps Common Data Service Connector working.
Note: You need to have Admin rights to Enable Power BI Integration
- Login to https://web.powerapps.com
- On the top right corner click on Settings (gear icon)
- Select Admin Center
- Select the environment you want to enable
- Select Database from the top menu
- Select Enable
Now we have enabled Power BI Integration, let’s connect to it using Power BI Desktop
- Open Power BI Desktop
- From the ribbon, select GetData
- In the GetData dialog, select Online Services from the left panel
- Select PowerApps Common Data Service from the right panel
- Select Connect
- Select the Environment from the drop down and click OK
- Navigator dialog opens. Expand the left panel and select the subject area you want to connect to
- Click OK
Notice in the Fields section you have the list of tables related to the subject area you selected
Once you expand a table notice there are sub folders as well. My guess is behind the scenes this is a tabular model
