Seems to get a lot of attention from Microsoft. Richard Chin who is leading the SQL Server businesses for Microsoft had a long talk about it at the launch event. With a host of great features coming out in this release (MDS, DQS, PowerView just to name a few) of SQL Server, it seems a little strange that Hadoop was selected for the live demonstration. Seems like the top ten internet companies are all using Hadoop, but I don’t know if that is a statistically significant data sets to claim that Hadoop is the next big thing for Business Intelligence…
