COVID-19 Mortality Rates… Is there a better way to calculate them?

While we are in the midst of this pandemic, are we calculating the mortality rate correctly? If we number of cases is growing exponentially, does the standard calculation of Mortality Rate = Sum(Deaths)/Sum(Confirmed Cases) accurately represent what is really going on?

In this video, I argue that it does not, and I suggest an alternative way to calculate the mortality rate that more accurately represents the mortality rate dynamic at a time when new cases are growing so rapidly.
